Breaking News: National Standard GB/T 47722-2026 Lifting Appliances—Wind⁃resistance and Anti⁃slip Technical Specifications Officially Released

Our Company's Original Wind Self-locking Technology Incorporated into National Standard, Enhancing the Intrinsic Safety of Wind Resistance and Anti-Slip for Lifting Machinery

Release time:

2026-06-18

On May 25, 2026, GB/T 47722-2026 Lifting appliances—Wind⁃resistance and anti⁃slip technical specifications, a national standard led by the Waterborne Transport Research Institute of the Ministry of Transport and co-drafted by our company, was officially issued. The standard shall be fully implemented nationwide as of December 1, 2026.

The release of this national standard for wind resistance and anti-slip carries far-reaching significance. On one hand, it fills the gap in specialized safety standards for wind resistance and anti-slippage of lifting machinery used in ports and all industries across China. By introducing new technologies to address insufficient wind resistance and anti-slippage capacity specified in existing standards, it provides authoritative compliance criteria for wind disaster prevention and safe operation and maintenance of all types of lifting machinery. On the other hand, it delivers core technical support dedicated to wind resistance for the revision of GB/T 3811 Design Rules for Cranes, the fundamental national standard for the sector, thereby improving the comprehensive safety design system for lifting machinery in China.

Formulated in light of updated industrial policies, cutting-edge technological advances and on-site practical operation requirements, this new standard incorporates the term "wind self-locking technology" into its glossary for the first time. It also explicitly stipulates that "for rail-mounted lifting machinery subjected to wind loads, wind self-locking devices with rail braking functions shall be prioritized to resist gusts."

The wind self-locking technology, originally pioneered and independently developed by our company in 2015, revolutionizes the conventional technical routes of passive wind protection and external force braking adopted for lifting machinery. It breaks through long-standing industrial bottlenecks of traditional wind protection devices, including reliance on manual intervention, failure of emergency braking and inadequate protection against gusts. It blazes an innovative technical path of passive self-locking and self-adaptive gust resistance for wind safety research of large rail-mounted quay lifting equipment, representing a disruptive original technology in the field of wind protection for lifting machinery.

After more than a decade of intensive research, iterative optimization, working condition testing and industrial verification across full-range scenarios by our R&D team, the wind self-locking technology has undergone multiple generations of product upgrades. It is compatible with all rail-mounted lifting equipment and extreme port operating conditions such as frequent strong coastal gusts and typhoons. To date, it has been deployed to serve hundreds of large and medium-sized ports at home and abroad, forming a long-term solid safety barrier against wind slippage for large rail-mounted lifting equipment. Its technical reliability, adaptability to working conditions and cost-effectiveness in operation and maintenance have been fully validated and recognized by the market.

With the release of this national standard, wind self-locking technology has evolved from an in-house proprietary technology into a nationally preferred compliant solution for wind resistance and anti-slippage of lifting machinery. Moving forward, our company will continue to deepen the iterative upgrading of wind self-locking technology for the lifting industry, eliminate safety hazards arising from insufficient wind resistance and anti-slippage performance, and guarantee safe production of lifting equipment across all sectors. We will take the lead in building a brand-new technical ecosystem for wind resistance and anti-slippage of lifting machinery, help China’s wind protection technologies for lifting machinery lead the global market, develop core safety technologies for high-end port equipment, and ultimately realize intrinsic safety against wind slippage for lifting appliances.
