"Enterprise-Port-University" Collaboration | Review Meeting for the Design Scheme of Screw Bucket Unloader Successfully Convened

On March 15th, our company, together with Rizhao Port of Shandong Port Group, Wuhan University of Technology, Shandong Port Equipment Group, and other units, held a review meeting for the design scheme of the screw bucket unloader in Wuhan. Yan Xinping, an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and other eight experts reviewed the localization solution for the grain ship unloader of Rizhao Port. Huang Donghui, member of the Party Committee of Rizhao Port of Shandong Port Group, attended and addressed the segment. Relevant responsible persons and project team members from the project-undertaking units participated in the meeting.
"Accelerating the realization of high-level scientific and technological self-reliance is the only way to promote high quality development." This time, the "enterprise-port-university" parties gathering together to jointly carry out the research and development of screw bucket unloaders is an important measure to respond to and implement independent innovation. It is also a typical case of the close integration and unity of industry, academia, research, and application, which has positive significance for promoting the localization of grain ship unloaders in China.
Rizhao Port of Shandong Port Group is a major soybean import port in China. Relying on the integrated reform and development platform of Shandong Port Group, it serves a vast hinterland and has established stable business relationships with more than 100 key clients. Currently, the most commonly used ship unloaders for continuous grain operations mainly rely on imports, which not only leads to product monopolization and high prices but also issues such as high energy consumption per unit and large cleaning volumes. To this end, our company, together with Rizhao Port of Shandong Port Group, consecutively held key technology demonstration meetings and whole machine scheme review meetings for domestically produced grain ship unloaders in November last year and February and March this year, laying a solid foundation for the development of the whole machine.
At the meeting, the expert group carefully listened to the current research and design achievements of the project team and conducted detailed discussions on the design scheme. They unanimously believed that the design scheme of the screw bucket unloader was reasonable and feasible and suggested accelerating the development progress.
In the next step, our company will collaborate with various partner units to fully leverage the collaborative advantages of the "enterprise-port-university" and accelerate the development of high efficiency grain ship unloaders. This will fill the gap in China's field of fully automated continuous grain unloading technology, promote port efficiency, emission reduction, and environmental protection, better serve clients with technological innovation, and contribute to the high quality development of China's ports.
